LUKE TEAGUE

Born in Grimsby on December 7, 1982, he joined the Grimsby School of Boxing in 1995 as an amateur along with brother Matty and was soon earmarked for a future in the professional ranks.

He was a formidable opponent in his amateur days in the light-middleweight division, winning the majority of his contests.

Luke’s first professional fight was in September 2003 at the Winter Gardens, Cleethorpes, and up to his last fight, in December 2004, he remained undefeated, winning six and drawing one.

His great uncle on his mother’s side, Arthur Aisthorpe, a bantamweight, was one of the best fighters to come out of Grimsby.

Co-managed by former Midland Area light-heavyweight champion Stuart Fleet and trainer and ex-pro Steve Pollard.
