The fact the lads aren't gelling or playing yet? I know you're one of Buckley's admirers so i'm curious what's made you lost for words.... False hopes and promises? Another mediocre season on the horizon? And you're surprised? |

The dreadful start in the league is masked by the fact that there a 3 teams starting on minus points - which has prevented us being in and around the relegation zone and the Tranmere win and the pens victory at Chesterfield (although in the game at Chesterfield, the Mariners only had 2 shots on target which fortunately both found the net) The truth is we don't look a better side than last season - we don't seem to be progressing. The reports in the Telegraph try to keep our chins up but if you've been to BP or on the road this season, put your hand on your heart and ask yourself if we've ever looked like picking up 3 points? The answer is no, we haven't. So we'll just persevere, we'll keep going back to BP and we'll be patient. It's too early to call for the managers head but both he and the players need a rollocking and any criticism heading their way is justified in the lacklustre performances they've delivered so far. Is the lack of quality opposition (and getting beat) in pre-season the reason for the woeful start? Barring Scunthorpe - playing the likes of Winterton Rangers and Farsley Celtic is hardly great preparation for a crack at promotion from League 2. But it's early days - lets review the situation again in another month or so. UTM! |
