In my opinion a new stadium at this moment in time is a bad idea. A new stadium would be superb for the club and the town as a whole & might even be a key factor in interesting more investment if we were playing in the championship, but were not. Any serious investor won't take a second look at us. Why would they when theres hoards of clubs in the championship that they could invest in and take a faster route to success and profit..It is a game and a hobby for most who support gtfc but for an outside investor allthough it might become their new found hobby, its more importantly about success and profit for them. I hope these rumours about Fenty being ready to throw in the towel remain nothing more than a rumour. He's done a lot for our club and we'd be hard pressed to find a true supporter with the time, funds, understanding and patience that Mr Fenty has demonstrated. My biggest hope for the future of GTFC is that we can find one or two more people like Mr FENTY,prepared to stick theirs necks and hard earn't cash on the line for what they are passionate about & believe in...and thats G.T.F.C I do still hope Mr Fenty puts his money where his heart is though. Its clear for everyone to see that further investment has to be made so that we can make a realistic bid for success. up the mariners! |

BP isn't as run down as people make out & is actually much nicer than lots of grounds in the football leagues.I think BP just needs to be extended and brought up to date. OH and on another note, has anybody at BP noticed we need a targetman?! I doubt we could get an experienced targetman in on loan but maybe theres the next peter crouch out there somewhere needing games under his belt? The Liam Trotter loan is a great coup,i know a little about him and he really is a very good player.Lets hope if all goes well with his initial loan,we might be able to extend it further & keep him at BP as long as possible. With Bolly out he really is an exellent addition & i have to take my hat off to Stuart Wattkiss. It looks like Stuarts out to stake a claim for the vacant job & good luck to him. |

I too woud like to see BP remain where it is but you cannot build upwards on those stands without increasing the base area needed for them and the houses are just too close, either you buy all the properties one side of Blundell ave and the ones on Harrington st behind the ground or you forget it and that would cost a fortune before you have even started with the build |
