everybody is talking about the striker that we so need but I dont see nobody making any suggestions of where he should come from. We all know that they need to be a huge goal scorer but who has the ability AND would come to the Mighty Mariners?

I suggested loads while the window was open rob,but for some reason AB and JF thought they were going to attract a prolific striker on a free.It was obvious that any quality striker available on a free would get offers from bigger clubs & be more enclined to opt for them over us.We needed to spend 70k - 200k to get the right calibur of striker, but despite making the paint pot final for some reason we didn't have anything to spend. It baffles me!

(catch you when you get back in GY rob)

248 views and nobody can name a striker? Does that not prove how difficult the task is for Mike Newell? I really have faith in him and think he will pull one out of the bag which is gonna surprise us all, does it not show that Buckley tried also to no avail to come up with a striker?
I was disapointed but could understand why Buckley got sacked I am just really pleased we actually got a fantastic manager in his place.
Lets just hope we get a win now & build on it to keep us in the football league so we can start destroying league 2 next season.

I know you did Lee! Will try & make it back for a weekend, I go to Winchester tomoro Fri 7 Nov so should be able to.

I still think that if the opportunity arises,we should look to sign stuart fleetwood. He's out on loan & Charlton are unlikely to play him in their first team,so if we ever get the chance to bring him to BP,we should.
