Okay...we've heard the debate on best sportsmen and women.....let's narrow it down to best footballer - past or present.
Maradona, Pele, Best???.......I'll tell you who's up there for me...Michel Platini and Zbignew Boniek...what a Juve team that was in the mid-80s.
Rossi, Tardelli were in there as well!!!
Any other nominees??

Ronaldo (the Brazilian one) for me. He scored over 40 goals for PSV in his first season in Europe and then scored not far off a goal a game when he went to Barca. Phenomenal player, unstoppable at his best.

I dont think Puskas can be far away. he scored 83 times in 84 games for Hungary and bucketloads for both honved and real madrid. and all that with a beer belly!

Great shout Timothy - what about Paolo Maldini as well? What a career that boy has had at the very highest level.

Well theirs been loads of great players but it has to be marco van basten who was only 28 when forced to retire. i also rate clarence seerdorf and think he will be rememberd as a great
